From 7 November 2017 to 18 March 2018 Palazzo Blu will host the exhibition titled 'The Sixteenth Century: Pictures of a Pisan Season'.

The exhibition recalls the climate of student controversy, which Pisa had as their main theater, through the photographs taken from the archive of Luciano Frassi.

Enriched by a choice of material from the era, leaflets, newspapers, documents, which illustrate well the various episodes that gave birth to that season, the show begins with the first episodes of protest of 1964 and continues by illustrating the main events that have marked much of the political life of those years: the 1968 New Year's rebellion at the Compass, the working agitations in defense of the workplace at Marzotto and Saint Gobain, the clashes with extreme right-wing movements, to the tragic day when, overwhelmed by a police charge, the young anarchist Franco Serantini died in prison.

The exhibition, set up in the halls of the second floor of Palazzo Blu, is organized by the Fondazione Palazzo Blu and curated by Giuseppe Meucci and Stefano Renzoni in collaboration with Andrea Mariuzzo.

Within the event, 5 deepening meetings organized in collaboration with prof. Daniele Menozzi, of the Normale Scuola di Pisa, which will be held in the Auditorium of Palazzo Blu.
