A guided tour of the historic Fair of Piagge. A walk through tree-lined avenues, little-known churches, and traces of an industrial past not far away, without neglecting the more folkloristic aspects of the neighborhood. Note in medieval times as "Orticaia", it was placed outside the municipal walls and lapped up to the year 1000 by swamps and woods. Subsequently reclaimed, the area maintained a close relationship with water, thanks to the presence of the river. In Arno, human activities are practiced until the Second World War: fishing, clay extraction, pottery and brickwork. Around the river is not only the economy but also the daily life in its most recreational aspects: from theater, to walks on Sundays, to summer baths.
