Sunday, 1 March 2026 marks the return of Sunday at the Museum, an initiative by the Ministry of Culture that offers free admission to state museums and archaeological parks on the first Sunday of every month.
As on every first Sunday of the month, the Ateno Museum System, with the “Edda Bresciani” Egyptian Collections and the Museum of Graphic Arts, is participating in the initiative.
National Museums of Pisa
Museo Nazionale di San Matteo Pisa: open 9 am - 1.30 pm (last admission at 1 pm).
Museo Nazionale di Palazzo Reale: open 9 am - 1.30 pm (last admission at 1 pm).
On the occasion of the Festa della Toscana 2025 festival, part of the Diritti&Umani XI ed. project, the museum is pleased to host the travelling dance show ‘Carmen a Palazzo Reale’.
Dance, singing, music and acting are incorporated into the museum tour, directly involving the audience in an exciting experience:
- 10:00 a.m., first performance cycle
- 11:30 a.m., second performance cycle
Possibility of a repeat performance in case of large crowds.
Museo delle Navi Antiche di Pisa: open 2 pm - 7.30 pm (last admission at 6.30 pm).
Complesso Monumentale della Certosa di Calci:open 9 am - 1.30 pm (last admission at 1 pm). - free admission to the courtyard of honour and the frescoed church. Full itinerary only with guided tour for a fee organised by Cooperativa Archeologia e Itinera at 9.30 am, 10.30 am, 11.30 am and 12.30 pm.
