The group exhibition SummerART 2026 (created and curated by Massimiliano Sbrana) will open on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 6:30 pm at the GAMeC CentroArteModerna in Pisa. This exhibition celebrates the expressive power of color and its central role in contemporary painting. A path in which each work becomes a visual and sensorial journey, an open gateway to emotion.

Color, the absolute protagonist, is not simple ornament: it is universal language, memory that resurfaces, vibration that crosses the gaze and reaches the heart. Summer —with its light stretching across surfaces, with its bright contrasts, with its short, living shadows — becomes muse and breath.
In the works on display we find the joy of days that seem never-ending, the warmth that envelops, the vitality that pulsates in the streets, in the skies, in the seas. Every brushstroke is a gesture that tells, every nuance is an emotion that opens like a flower in the sun.

The exhibition brings together a variety of styles and languages: from realism that captures light with almost photographic precision, to surrealism that transforms it into a dream; from abstraction that breaks it down into pure energy, to pop art that reinvents it in rhythm and icon.
The works explore light, shadows, warmth, but also the suspended stillness of sunny afternoons, the movement of air, the dance of colors on surfaces. SummerART thus becomes a mosaic of visions, a chorus of sensibilities that dialogue through color, transforming the canvas into a window open to inner worlds and imagined landscapes.

More than just an exhibition, SummerART is an invitation to rediscover the profound connection between art and summer sensations: a place where visual beauty becomes a stimulus for reflection, for memory, for the desire to let the light pass through.
It is also a moment of celebration of contemporary creativity, capable of transforming the challenges of the present into new expressive opportunities, into new forms of chromatic poetry.
