Like every year, in mid-May, the Viale delle Piagge comes alive with a thousand colors and the Sant'Ubaldo Fair also known as "The week of the Piagge" takes place, inaugurated by civil and religious authorities. The avenue from the Ponte della Vittoria to the Church (about two kilometers of tree-lined avenue) is closed to traffic and stalls and stands are arranged there which attract a multitude of visitors. It is an exhibition-market mainly of plants and flowers but also of many other types of merchandise.
The event is divided into three areas: Area of Flavors (Local, Regional, National, Natural Products, Oil, Wine, Sweets); Handicrafts Area (National and International Handicrafts, Household Items and Small Appliances, Clothing and Objects); External Area (Cars, Motorcycles, Cycles, Accessories, Agricultural Machinery and Equipment, Garden Furniture, Animal Husbandry, Nurseries, Ovens and Fireplaces).
The fair will take place on Viale delle Piagge on Friday 17, Saturday 18 e Sunday 19 May from 10am to 10pm. Admission is free.

Below are the traffic modifications:
In order to allow the event to take place, the following parking measures will be adopted: from 00:01 on 16 to 12:00 on 20, there will be a ban on parking with forced removal in the section of Viale delle Piagge from Via Masaccio to Via Viviani on both sides; in the section of Via Masaccio from Viale delle Piagge to Via Prinetti on both sides; in Piazza San Michele degli Scalzi on the river side; in the section of Via San Michele degli Scalzi on the river side from Piazza San Michele degli Scalzi to Via Cuppari; on Salita Sant'Ubaldo. While, from 00:00 to 24:00 on the 19th, a parking ban with forced removal will be imposed on the Viale delle Piagge section from Via Masaccio to Piazza Caduti Cefalonia on both sides.
The following traffic measures will also be adopted: from 7 a.m. on the 16th to 12 noon on the 20th: 00 a.m. on the 20th, the section of Viale delle Piagge from Via Masaccio to Via Viviani and the Salita Sant'Ubaldo will be closed to vehicular traffic; vehicles travelling on Viale delle Piagge in a northerly direction will be obliged to turn right at the intersection with Via Viviani; vehicles travelling on Via Avanzi in a river direction will be obliged to turn right at the intersection with Piazza San Michele degli Scalzi, except for vehicles heading for the car park located near the Church of San Michele.
While from 00:00 to 24:00 on the 19th, the following traffic measures will be adopted the section of viale delle Piagge between via Masaccio and Piazza Caduti di Cefalonia will be closed to vehicular traffic; the section of via Rainaldo from via Agnelli to viale delle Piagge will be subject to a two-way traffic system with alternating one-way traffic at sight, with right of way for residents only and access to side properties; the section of Via Masaccio from Viale delle Piagge to Via Prinetti will be subject to a traffic ban, except for vehicles belonging to the residents of that section, who will be able to access the road by means of an alternating one-way system at sight with the right of way in accordance with the direction of travel normally in force; vehicles travelling along Via Agnelli at the intersection with Via Rainaldo will be required to turn left, except for resident vehicles, and vehicles travelling along Via Rainaldo in the closed section at the intersection with Via Rainaldo will be required to turn right.
