My Way edition 2024 at GAMeC

Opening on Saturday 23 November 2024 at 5.30 p.m. at the GAMeC CentroArteModerna in Pisa (on the Lungarno Mediceo at number 26), the exhibition ‘My Way’ edition 2024, organised and curated by Massimiliano Sbrana, will show a short but significant journey through four important authors on the national and international scene.

My Way’ is an artistic event that will celebrate diversity and research in contemporary art by offering the public the opportunity to explore a wide range of stylistically diverse works of art and to meet a heterogeneous group of artists, including Michele Bracciotti, Paolo Fidanzi, Francesca Giorgetti and Fiorella Manzini.

This was followed by a presentation of the authors present.

Michele Bracciotti

Born in Pisa in 1962. After graduating in Medicine and Surgery in his home town, he currently works as a Dentist in the city of Bra (Piedmont). Michele Bracciotti's passion for all artistic expression is concentrated in this exhibition with a production of highly original blueprints, the result of experimentation and an ever new dialogue between imagination and creativity.

Paolo Fidanzi

Born in Pomarance (Pi) in 1957. A master of colour, he plays on the dialogue between light and heat, on the juxtaposition of sign and void, and has behind him a gigantic production that has embraced ‘figuration’ and non-linear abstract painting. Hence, references to post-expressionism and futurism, echoes of pop-art, and references to informal abstractionism characterise his pictorial research, which in his last period has apparently focused on symbolic still lifes.

Francesca Giorgetti

Born in 1994 in Wichita Falls, Texas, she currently lives in Pisa. She started painting out of necessity, looking for an uncommon hobby that would allow her to express her emotions, ideas and creativity in complete freedom. The works in this exhibition, created with acrylic paints, have bright colours, with sharp contrasts and strong splashes that highlight all her multiple moods.

Fiorella Manzini

Born in Bologna, she obtained her Scientific Maturity and then her Artistic Maturity, obtained her aptitude for teaching Drawing in Scientific and Magistral High Schools and taught Artistic Education until 1997. His artistic work began with a classical approach, dealing with subjects such as landscapes, still lifes and nudes. Over time, his style evolved towards abstraction, characterised by vigorous and fast brushstrokes.

The exhibition will continue until 4 December 2024 with free admission.

Hours: 10 a.m. - 12.30 p.m./ 4 p-m- 6.30 p.m. (weekdays); closed Mondays. Special openings Sunday 24 November and Sunday 1 December 2024 4-6.30 p.m..
