The exhibition ‘Contemporary NOW / Informal & Abstract’, curated by Massimiliano Sbrana, celebrates the expressive power of contemporary art through an intense and stimulating dialogue between two of its most significant currents: informal and abstract. This event represents a unique opportunity to explore the multiple declinations of contemporary artistic creation, where gesture and matter intertwine with order and chaos, generating works of great visual and emotional impact.
The artists involved offer a journey through heterogeneous techniques and innovative approaches, ranging from material painting to the dissolution of the image, from geometric shapes to instinctive sign. Each work becomes a territory of experimentation that stimulates perception and invites the public to a personal and unique interaction with art.
The exhibition (with free admission) will be hosted at the GAMeC CentroArteModerna in Pisa, located at Lungarno Mediceo 26, and will be inaugurated on Saturday 10 May 2025 at 6 pm.
The layout has been designed to offer a fluid and engaging narrative, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the different interpretations of Informal and Abstract. The exhibition will highlight the variety of techniques used and the originality of the approaches adopted by the participating artists, creating a sensorial and reflective experience.
The exhibition thus becomes an opportunity for confrontation and intellectual stimulation, inviting the public to reflect on the freedom of expression and the ability of art to transform visual language into a powerful means of communication.
