Thursday, February 15 is celebrated the birthday of the great scientist Pisa with a program of events articulated over several days. The Walls participate with three special events.

Friday, February 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., throughout the opening hours of the monument, 'Walls of Pisa between earth and sky, from Galilean experiments to monuments to the stars'. At the Torre del Catallo, A few steps from the access to Torre Santa Maria and overlooking Piazza dei Miracoli, the Museum of Physical Instruments and the Ludoteca Scientifica will offer installations with replicas of Galilean experiments. 

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. initiative reserved for schools, entrance from Torre Piezometrica, reservations through the department of the school of the City of Pisa. From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. free admission from Torre Santa Maria. Reservations required on

Saturday, February 17 theater and astronomy will mix for a double initiative thanks to the collaboration with 'Theatres of the Resistance' and 'Ludoteca Scientifica'.
It starts with 'Galileo oltre le apparenze', theatrical performance walk on the walls from the Piezometric Tower towards Piazza dei Miracoli, a grand finale with astronomical observations of sunspots and planets. "A group of terrapiattisti has decided that it is time to do away with Galilean theories and will show the public with the support of irrefutable scientific evidence their reasons. During the walk we will retrace the study of the sky that humans have done from antiquity to the present day and with games and explanations the participants will be the protagonists of this experience between science and fantasy". 

Departures every 15 minutes from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., duration about 1 hour.

To follow 'The sky of Galileo', evening of astronomical observations with telescopes on the walls: the Pisan scientist discovered first the moons of Jupiter and always first realized a map of our moon. With telescopes over the square of Miracles, guided tour with the astrophiles of the University of Pisa, departure at 6:30 p.m. from Torre Santa Maria, duration 1 hour.

Special price equal to the cost of normal admission on the walls: 5 euros full, 3 euros residents, free for children up to 8 years and for disabled and carers.
