The Culture Department of the Municipality of Pisa, in collaboration with Teatro Nuovo and Lilt-Pisa (Italian League for the Fight against Tumours), has organised a series of cultural initiatives for the Christmas period to promote solidarity, sociality and the fight against decay. The events were presented this morning, 13 December, at a press conference at Palazzo Gambacorti.

The first initiative, entitled The Christmas Circus Tower Show, is a travelling show that will take place from 17 to 19 December, from 5 to 7 p.m., in three different squares on the outskirts of the city:

- Friday 17 Largo Bellonzi in Cisanello

- Saturday 18 Piazzale Donatello at Cep

- Sunday 19 at the Via Renato Pagni car park in Gagno.

The events will see the participation of Valerio Zelli (singer, frontman of the ORO, winner of Sanremo giovani, 4th place Sanremo big, double platinum record with "Vivo per lei"), Stefano Orselli (mime/comedian, winner of Italia's got Talent, D'Artagnan the bubble magician (holder of three world records for the most beautiful soap bubble show, finalist in Tu Si Que Vales on Canale 5 and Italia's Got Talent on Sky), Magico Matteo (mentalist magician, finalist in Tu Si Que Vales on Canale 5). The event will be presented by Andrea Magini (actor, director and television presenter).

Father Christmas will also be present in the squares with his throne in a special selfie area, collecting children's letters (the best one will be published on the Municipality's website) and giving them a small gift. An area will also be set up to collect toys donated by the public to be given to the paediatric oncology unit in Pisa.

The second initiative, entitled Christmas with Lilt, will take place at the Teatro Nuovo on Thursday 23 December, at 9.30 pm. The evening will be presented by Andrea Magini and will feature performances by Francesco Bottai, Antonio Calandrino, the "Cubi Rossi", Paolo Giommarelli and Serena Rigacci. During the evening, with free admission, the activities of LILT will be presented and a voluntary fundraiser will be organised to support the association's voluntary activities. The show will be preceded, at 7.30 p.m., by an aperitif/buffet, the proceeds of which will also be donated to LILT.
