Thursday 1 September 2022, 9 p.m., Museo Le Navi Antiche
The Cultural Association "Chi vuol esser lieto sia..." presents, under the patronage of the Municipality of Pisa, the concert "NAYS", traditional and folk-inspired music, the second event of the 6th edition of SALOTTO MUSICALE.
"NAYS" traditional and folk-inspired music performed by Anna Ulivieri - flute, Matilde Gori - trumpet and cornet, Giulia Dini - cello, Dario Paganin - guitar and voice, Federico Monzani - percussion.
The concert will be preceded by an introduction to the museum by director Andrea Camilli and the projection of the video 'NAYS' made in 2021 with the patronage and contribution of the Municipality of Pisa from an idea by Anna Ulivieri.
"Nays", the term in ancient Greek for boat, indicates the archetypal ship, the first with which man began to plough the sea that until that moment had divided him from other men who were equal and at the same time different from him in culture, language, and experience, but which then became the mirror in which the temperaments and sentiments of the peoples living on its shores are reflected. Music is the lingua franca with which to express them, rich in both contaminations and the signs that distinguish the different identities.
The museum will be open with paid admission from 6.30 pm to 9 pm.
Admission to the concert is free of charge and must be booked in advance: cel. 3478890899, info@chivuolesserloetosia.org
