The Museo della Grafica presents the exhibition Napoleon. Stories between images and notes, dedicated to the image and myth of Napoleon in modern times.

Prints, books, documents and videos create an original and evocative journey between historical memory and imagination. Worthy of note is the splendid selection of medals and prints, curated by Franca Maria Vanni and coming from the Museo Medagliere dell'Europa Napoleonica, the postcards (photo sculptures) created at the beginning of the twentieth century by Domenico Mastroianni and the precious papers from the Museo della Carta in Pescia.

The exhibition, which will continue with the section "Napoleon in music", curated by Alessandro Volpi, and "Napoleon in the cinema", realised in collaboration with the Cinema Arsenale, is realised with the organisational support of the Sistema Museale di Ateneo and with the patronage and collaboration of: Museo Medagliere dell'Europa Napoleonica, Fondazione Livorno Arte e Cultura, Fondazione Umberto Mastroianni, Cinema Arsenale, Museo della Carta di Pescia.

Opening: Thursday 5 May, 6.30 pm, Museo della Grafica di Palazzo Lanfranchi.
