On the stage of the prestigious Teatro Verdi in Pisa, the Wind Orchestra of the Società Filarmonica Pisana, conducted by Maestro Paolo Carosi, will perform as per tradition for the 2021 "Masquerade" Greetings Concert, under the patronage of the Municipality of Pisa and with the support of the Fondazione Pisa.

The concert, which has become a regular event for the city, represents the culminating and concluding moment of a year of musical activity and aims to offer the best in terms of refinement of the pieces proposed and meticulous execution, in the musical place par excellence, the most prestigious of the city, our theatre.

The programme includes a piece that is rarely heard live but which represents a milestone for all trombonists: it opens with Ferdinand David's Concertino op. 4 for trombone and orchestra, with soloist Guido Gemignani, who already in 2017 gave the first performance, again at the Teatro Verdi in Pisa, of Rimsky-Korsakov's Concerto for Trombone and Military Band.

For admission it is compulsory, for those over 12 years of age, to show the green pass accompanied by an identification document in addition to the seat reservation.

During the performance there will be a free fundraising for Telethon with the possibility to buy chocolate hearts at the entrance and support research into rare genetic diseases.
