The Universo Corto International Short Film Festival, chaired by director Roberto Faenza and organized by the Circolo Culturale Giovani Persone, returns to Pisa with the 7th edition of its Sakura Prize. Since its founding, Universo Corto has devoted special attention to the social aspects of cinema from an interdisciplinary perspective, including through the involvement of scholars and university professors. For this reason, the Circle has decided to propose this year a three-day event entirely dedicated to the Sakura Prize, which consists in the realization and publication, for the Edizioni ETS of Pisa, of a volume that collects an essay for each winning short film, in the maximum number of three ex aequo, so as to deepen and make known the "message" that it is capable of conveying.
