FOR ENNIO
Tribute to Morricone
Tuesday 6 September - 21:00 | Piazza dei Cavalieri, Pisa
All-Stars Orchestra
Beppe Vessicchio, conductor
Jacopo Rivani, conductor
With the participation of Arianna Bergamaschi.
'Per Ennio' is Teatro Verdi's homage to one of Italy's most important composers: Ennio Morricone. An original homage, where some of his most famous soundtracks will be performed by the 'All Stars Orchestra', a symphony orchestra formed by the first parts of some of the most important Italian orchestras, who wanted, for once, to meet in Pisa, in Piazza dei Cavalieri, to pay homage to the great Roman maestro.
In addition to listening to some of his most famous scores, the evening will be enriched by the presence of Luca Vignali, first oboe of the Rome Opera, who was the first to perform the famous 'Gabriel's oboe' theme from the soundtrack of 'The Mission', and Beppe Vessicchio, who will conduct his own suite, written to some of Morricone's most famous themes. Finally, the singer Arianna will lend her voice to interpret, accompanied by the orchestra, some of the most beautiful songs from Morricone's repertoire.
