"Sweet dreams (are made of film)" marks the return of Cinema della Normale to the Arsenale.
The exhibition aims to explore the history of cinema through the lens of dreams, in a varied and discordant journey. Although unified by the same language, which plays on mysterious and visionary atmospheres, the films chosen by the students of the Scuola Normale Superiore range across very different genres and eras, in a panorama of references that includes both ancient mysticism and contemporary philosophical reflections, without neglecting purely aesthetic suggestions.
