From Havana to Paris, from Italian songwriting reinterpreted in a soulful key to Raphael Gualazzi's borderless crossover: Musica sotto la Torre returns, the festival organized by the Opera della Primaziale Pisana in collaboration with the Archdiocese of Pisa-Caritas Diocesana.
Four evenings in the Cloister of the Museo dell'Opera del Duomo, from June 25th to July 4th, for the 17th edition of a broad-based cultural initiative that links musical art to solidarity projects, opening our eyes to today's musical world.
On stage, in order of program: Ana Carla Maza, the cellist and singer with Cuban-Chilean origins who is enchanting audiences around the world with her trio; Karima, one of the most charismatic voices on the Italian scene, with the new project CantaAutori dedicated to the great masters of singer-songwriter music; Raphael Gualazzi, pianist and singer-songwriter capable of blending jazz, blues, soul and pop in a mix with an unmistakable sound; Ute Lemper, an icon of international cabaret, with the show Paris Paris, pays homage to the most beautiful chansons of a romantic and melancholic Paris.

Thursday 25 June, 9:30 p.m. – Ana Carla Maza, Trio Alamar
The festival opens with cellist and singer Ana Carla Maza, one of the most original voices on the international scene, with over 400 concerts in 25 countries. She is the new voice of Latin America, a fascinating mix of Latin jazz, Cuban salsa, cumbia, tango, and classical influences. Together with Mily Pérez (piano and keyboards) and Jay Kalo (drums and percussion) he presents the new album Alamar live: a journey through bolero, son cubano, tango, cumbia, afrobeat, bossa nova, salsa and much more.
- Saturday 27 June, 9:30 p.m. – Karima, CantaAutori
The Livorno-born singer, a powerful and versatile voice with blues, jazz, and soul accents, pays homage to the great Italian singer-songwriters with her new album CantaAutori: from Lucio Dalla to Pino Daniele, from Umberto Bindi to Lucio Battisti, in arrangements by Piero Frassi, a pianist who has been with her for 21 years. With her Gabriele Evangelista on double bass and Bernardo Guerra on drums.
- Thursday 2 July, 9:30 p.m. – Raphael Gualazzi
A revelation of the 2011 Sanremo Giovani, which won three gold records at Eurovision, Raphael Gualazzi brings to the stage a musical universe that knows no limits, moving between jazz, blues, soul, pop and classical music. He is now touring with his established quintet of Mecco Guidi (keyboards, programming and back vocals), Luigi Faggi (trumpet and back vocals), Anders Ulrich (double bass, electric bass) and Gianluca Nanni (drums and back vocals).
- Saturday 4 July, 9:30 p.m. – Ute Lemper, Paris Paris
The festival closes with an icon of the international scene: Ute Lemper, applauded on the world's greatest stages, from La Scala in Milan to the Sydney Opera House. In Paris Paris performs pieces by Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel, Charles Trenet, Michel Legrand, Kurt Weill, Barbara, Léo Ferré, Serge Gainsbourg, Kosma/Prévert, accompanied by Vana Gierig (piano), Giuseppe Bassi (double bass) and Ludovic Beier (accordion).
The proceeds from the evenings. Ticket collection is donated to the Archdiocese of Pisa-Caritas Diocesana to support “Builders of the Future”, the project to combat educational poverty that supports children and young people in vulnerable situations, offering educational and inclusion opportunities. In 2025, 545 children and young people were supported by the provision of books and school supplies, support for paperwork, and enrollment in extracurricular activities: a support network involving families, schools, and local communities to foster the personal and cultural growth of young people.
