A museum is not only a place of memory, but can become a living theatre of emotions and a meeting point between art forms. The project “Music and Dance in the National Museums of Pisa” was born with this vision, promoted by the new autonomous institute of the Ministry of Culture which includes the four Pisan state museums, supported by the General Directorate of Entertainment of the Ministry of Culture and the Pisa Foundation. Thanks to a rich calendar of concerts and choreographic performances, the Royal Palace Museum, the Museum of San Matteo, the Museum of Ancient Ships, and the Monumental Charterhouse of Calci will transform into spaces where visual arts, music, and dance interact, offering an evocative and sensorial experience.
The exhibition will enliven Pisa's national museums from May to October 2026.
