The Radici Fotografiche Collective and the Intraluce Collective present 'LA FOTO CHE ALIMENTA' (THE PHOTO THAT FEEDS), two evenings of photographic video projections in favour of AFA . Founded 30 years ago, in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, by Brother Arturo Paoli, the Fraternity Alliance Association (AFA), is a civil, secular, non-profit entity with social projects aimed at the most disadvantaged communities. Its mission is to promote processes of self-management and social change in the city's poorest communities through socio-educational actions. These activities are aimed at young people and adolescents in the favelas where AFA works, to help them develop values of integration, participation, initiative, solidarity, respect, self-esteem and social inclusion.

There are two evenings of video projections of photographic projects realised in Italy:

  • SATURDAY 27 JANUARY, at 9 pm at Sala Lanteri (above Cinema Lanteri, Via S.Michele degli Scalzi 46)
  • SUNDAY 28 JANUARY, at 9 pm at Chiesa di San Paolo a Ripa D'Arno (Piazza S. Paolo a Ripa D'Arno)

The programme includes the presentation of the following photo-videos:

  • OUR ORIENT (routes in Basilicata at the height of the pandemic, in 2020)

  • THE ANCIENT PRESENT (search for survivors of a disappearing era)
  • EKSTASIS (religious re-enactment in Sicily, a mixture of recitation, devotion and meditation)
  •  AIA IN FESTA (wheat threshing, hard work, but at the same time, a moment of singing, dancing and merriment)

Both evenings will be free admission (tickets will be donated to the AFA association).
