9 October 2022 will be a Domenica di Carta (Sunday of Paper), the initiative promoted by the Ministry of Culture to enhance the immense and precious archival and book heritage kept in State libraries and archives.

The University Library of Pisa will open its doors to the public by putting on display a selection of drawings focusing on Ippolito Rosellini's hieroglyphics already exhibited on 24 and 25 September on the occasion of the GEP Days; in view of the interest received from visitors and the requests of those who have communicated that they are unable to visit.
A small section of publications on the subject will also be exhibited on this occasion.

The manuscripts of the famous Egyptologist still constitute an indispensable tool for Egyptology scholars today.

Ippolito Rosellini (Pisa 1800 - Pisa 1843) had served as director of the Library of the University of Pisa from 1835 to 1843 as well as professor of Oriental Philology, Literature and Archaeology.
