The art exhibition 'Beauty through the gaze' by artist Monica Giovannini will be held in the atrium of Palazzo Gambacorti from 13 to 24 April 2023.

A set of works on beauty in its various forms: three of them are dedicated to the city of Pisa, with which Monica Giovannini has an emotional bond, and are set along the Lungarni at different times of the day. The gaze is lost in the reflections that the splendid buildings create on the Arno; one work is dedicated to her city Montecatini Terme with 'A glimpse in the park'. The other 19 works are the result of beautiful moments spent in contact with the beauty of nature in search of inspiration and subjects to paint. Colour is always the protagonist of his paintings and goes beyond the reality of the eye, deliberately becoming more vivid as an expression of sensations. The colours used by the artist are not exactly those found in nature, but have their own harmony on canvas. The artist uses the pure colours and virgulate strokes typical of Impressionism, yet he is looking for an art that interprets feelings and sensations, not a simple photographic reproduction of reality. The artist's gaze observes landscapes as the seasons change and seeks to capture their beauty in every aspect, as well as highlighting issues of everyday life.

The exhibition, under the patronage of the Municipality of Pisa, will be open from Monday to Friday from 7.30 a.m. to 7 p.m., free admission.
