Once again this year, Domenica di carta (Sundays on Paper), an initiative promoted by the Ministry of Culture to enhance the precious archival and book heritage kept in State libraries and archives, is back.
UNIVERSITY LIBRARY OF PISA
The University Library of Pisa is organising a bibliographic exhibition on Sunday 8 October 2023, entitled: 'Pisa, city of glass' - Dr Daniela Stiaffini will speak on the subject"
From 9 am to 1pm and from 3 pm to 7 pm, the Library will open its doors to visitors with a talk on the theme of the exhibition, which will be illustrated in the afternoon by Dr. Daniela Stiaffini. A selection of materials, in original or facsimile, will be on display to illustrate the Library's heritage on the theme of the exhibition.

LOGGE DI BANCHI
The Logge di Banchi is one of the most characteristic buildings in the city's urban landscape, although it has long since been withdrawn from public access. On Sunday 8 October, through the scheduled guided tours, you can discover the history of the headquarters of the former Royal State Archives, retracing the stages of its use and the foundation of our Institute.
The scheduled guided tours last 20 minutes and include a visit to the Hall of the Order of the Knights of St. Stephen and the side rooms overlooking the Lungarno.
Meeting point: Logge di Banchi. Departure of the tours: at 3 pm, 3:30 pm, 4 pm, 4:30 pm and 5 pm.
