Collezione Vespe d'Arte (Museo Piaggio)
The Piaggio museum collects the history of motorized two wheels in Italy. It was born in 2000 in the Piaggio factory opened in 1924 in the town of Pontedera, a few kilometers from Pisa. Developed over an area of 5000 square meters, it exhibits more than 250 pieces, from the first prototype of the successful Vespa, to small mopeds, such as the Ciao or Bravo models, as well as the iconic Ape and the large displacement motorcycles by Aprilia, Gilera and Guzzi. Temporary exhibitions of great artists such as Dalì, Modigliani, Fattori and Soffici are periodically organized inside the museum.
