Contemporary circus performances, circus-theatre and circus-science workshops, talks and nationally renowned guests, film screenings and live music. On 20 and 21 December, Pisa's Stazione Leopolda will host the fourth edition of Driin Days - Art and Freedom, a two-day event dedicated to social circus as a multidisciplinary tool for inclusion, a circus without animals and innovative for its artistic connections with dance, music, theatre and science.
The big party, with free admission, promoted by the Antitesi Association, with artistic direction by Martina Favilla, has the support of the Ministry of Culture and is organised in collaboration with national and international bodies. The event concludes the annual programme of activities of the broader Arte e Libertà project, which aims to use educational circus for the social reintegration of young people at risk of marginalisation, combating early school leaving and child exploitation and bringing joy and creativity to the streets, squares, schools and community centres.
