On 14 February 2025, at 4.30 p.m., at the Natural History Museum of the University of Pisa, the new temporary exhibition ‘Dinosaurs’, curated by Naturaliter, will be inaugurated. More than twenty life-size models, static and dynamic, will be on show.
The largest reptiles ever to have lived come back to life from the depths of the Mesozoic in a spectacular exhibition hosted in the premises of the Certosa di Pisa, in Calci. Detailed reconstructions of dinosaurs depicted at key moments in their lives are fixed in our imagination as if we had really been there. Admiring the Spinosaurus that swims chasing a coelacanth, the Oviraptor that has just laid its eggs and again the gigantic Terizinosaurus covered in soft feathers but armed with extremely long claws transports us to the fabulous world of the distant past, an illusion perfected by animated models, including that of Tyrannosaurus rex that will make us feel the thrill of being in front of one of the greatest predators that ever walked the Earth.
On the occasion of the opening, Dr Cristiano Dal Sasso will give a lecture entitled: ‘Spinosauri, the fishing dinosaurs’.
The exhibition will be open until 15 February 2026.
