"Confronti. Art in Tuscany from the 19th to the 20th Century" by Michele Pierleoni, is the exhibition that will be on view at the National Museum of Palazzo Reale.
Opening Friday, April 24, at 4:00 p.m.
“Confronti” brings together paintings and sculptures from the Palazzo Reale collection with works from the Fondazione Castagneto Banca 1910, offering a glimpse into Tuscan art from the late 19th century to the first half of the 20th century, with a particular focus on the Livorno art scene.
The exhibition brings together the leading figures of the Gruppo Labronico (including Mario Puccini, Llewelyn Lloyd, Renato Natali, Gino Romiti, and others) with artists such as Plinio Nomellini, Luigi Gioli, Adolfo Wildt, and many others.
A journey through analogies and contrasts that spans decades of art history and presents Palazzo Reale as a space for encounter, dialogue, and shared reflection.
The exhibition is open until June 20, 2026.
