**   UPDATING  **

More than twenty years after the major exhibition on Pisa and the Mediterranean Sea, the Superintendency of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape for the provinces of Pisa and Livorno and the Department of Civilizations and Forms of Knowledge are organizing the International Conference "A City Between Rivers and Sea. New research in Pisa between the Etruscan era and the early Roman age" aimed at presenting the most recent discoveries and new studies that have defined and expanded the framework of knowledge on one of the most relevant metropolises of northern Etruria.

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days on September 26 and 27, 2026, the event, open to scholars and citizens, will be hosted at the Auditorium delle Antiche Navi - Centro Studi in Pisa, the new center dedicated to the research, conservation, and enhancement of the archaeological heritage of the Pisa and Livorno areas. The event will run from Saturday the 26th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday the 27th from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm.

In conjunction with the Conference, in the Auditorium's exhibition area it will be possible to visit an exhibition of artifacts from some contexts investigated in recent years.
