The Terre di Pisa Food&Wine Festival returns from 17 to 19 October in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II.
Tours, tastings, masterclasses, show cooking, seminars but also tourist offers, discounts in museums and extraordinary openings.
This edition will be a tribute to the truffle, with its unique and intense aroma, as unmistakable as the food and wine richness of the Lands of Pisa. An opportunity to discover not only its different species and scents, but also to dispel some myths: the truffle, in fact, is not a root or a tuber, but rather an underground mushroom that grows in symbiosis with the roots of specific plants, completing its life cycle underground.
The Festival reconfirms its attention to the sustainability of food, understood as the valorisation of zero km production, promotion of the Mediterranean diet, food safety and reduction of waste
The market exhibition is the beating heart of the event: around 90 producers from the Lands of Pisa will welcome you to their stands. It will be a unique opportunity to discover, taste and purchase local products of the highest quality, the result of work that has its roots in the traditions of the Pisan countryside. The producers themselves will be available to tell the value of their commitment, the meticulous care in the creation of genuine, healthy and sustainable products, guiding you on a journey of discovering their excellence.
In addition to the market exhibition, the event will be enriched by a program of events, guided tastings, talks, masterclasses and meetings. The opportunity to delve deeper into traditions linked to ancient flavours, acquire new skills and satisfy curiosities about the world of food and wine. From extra virgin olive oil to artisanal cheeses, from the renowned DOC Wine of the Lands of Pisa to innovative craft beers, and more.
An experience that continues in the Lands of Pisa, which from the city of Pisa extend into a rich landscape, characterized by rolling Tuscan hills, ancient villages, sea, parks and nature reserves, where art, history, food and wine, craftsmanship, nature and landscapes have intertwined since Etruscan times and show a still authentic Tuscany. The Lands of Pisa are easily accessible thanks to convenient road and rail connections, and even for those traveling by plane thanks to Pisa's Galilei International Airport.
