After almost five years during which it was hosted at the Congress Center "Le Benedettine" within the exhibition "HELLO WORLD. Computer science from arithmometer to smartphone", the collection of the Museum of Computing Tools returns to the Galilean Citadel, its historic headquarters, with a new exhibition: "NOT ONLY CALCULATION - working life and free time before the arrival of the Internet".
This exhibition consists not only of calculating machines, but also of tools that have, in some way, characterized work and leisure activities from the end of the nineteenth century until the nineties.
It was in the early nineties that the Museum of Computing Tools began to take shape. Laying the foundations of its own collection in a still pioneering period has allowed to build, through legacies and acquisitions, a collection of European level that the exhibition enhances not only from a technical point of view but also historical, cultural and social.
