On Sunday, June 21st, at 9:30 pm, the "Not Just Pisa-Pisa Mosaic" event will be held at the Parco delle Concette.
“Pisani per er mondo a strapazzassi” (cit.): trips, trips, curiosities from all over the world filmed by the Pisans, or at least ended up in their drawers and garages. Among other things: extraordinary images of the First World War; “Tank tops, wheelchairs, and snowballs”: Marina and Tirrenia, the 60s snowfalls, and then “all at Luna-Park”, the non-universal place of entertainment.
And real little pieces of DIY cinema: the adventures of one of the first Pisan film clubs, ENAL, led by Vittorio Guidi, and (Guidi collection), the militant short film “Azione Terza”, an experimental start to the years of protest (Fausto Gabrielli and Marco Sereni), short gems of cinema at school, between Viareggio and Pisa (Pieruccetti collection), the acrobatics of the Vespa Club, the inauguration of a historic petrol station on the Aurelia with free petrol for everyone and a kilometer-long queue (Baldacci collection), Amateur films with live sound in a short circuit between memory and modernity: an evening of stories and screenings coordinated by Lorenzo Garzella, starting with the collection of super8 reels and family films, undertaken by Acquario della Memoria, with the support of the Pisa Foundation and the Municipality of Pisa, in collaboration with the University of Pisa, 8mmezzo (Livorno) and Arsenale.
Live soundtracks by Pietro Borsò (percussion), Marco Simoni (piano), Ines Felicienne Cuccu (guitar and electronic console).
The evening will be introduced by Lorenzo Garzella and Chiara Tognolotti, professor of Cinema at the University of Pisa.
Among the guests is Ubaldo Pantani, who will recount the discovery of the coils from the First World War.
Free entry.
