With a program that traces some of the most beautiful musical pages written by the great composers between 1800 and our century, the Fondazione Teatro di Pisa and the Accademia di Musica Stefano Strata present the third season of MusicaVerde, the festival of concerts born with the aim of enhancing the new generations of musicians.   In the six double concerts scheduled, the first of which will be held Saturday, January 13 at 5.30 pm in the Ridotto del Teatro Verdi, will perform young talents of the masterclasses of guitar, violin, cello and piano winners of Scholarships awarded by the Academy.

News of the third edition is the morning concert (March 6, 11 am) Adolescents in music reserved for secondary school students in the area and held by young students of the ordinary school.  All concerts will be introduced by Milli Russo, musicologist and president of the Strata Academy. Tickets (12 euros full; 6 euros reduced for children under 12 years) are on sale at the box office of the Teatro Verdi (Tuesday to Saturday 11.00 am 1.00 pm; Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, also at 4.00 am - 6.00 pm) and also available for purchase by phone (050.941188) and online on www.vivaticket.com.

The first double concert of the third edition of MusicaVerde, Saturday, January 13, will perform on the guitar the twenty-year-old Bianca Maria Minervini, graduated from the Conservatory Piccinni of Bari, perfected with the Masters Aniello Desiderio, Frederic Zigante and Giancarlo Di Pierro and winner of numerous international competitions and admitted to the Masterclass with internationally renowned Masters. The program of his concert includes music by de Rogatis, Barrios Mangoré and Turina.  Next will be the Cello Concerto No.1 in C major by Franz Joseph Haydn performed by the cello/piano duo composed by Antoine Trouvé and Antonella Bellettini.  Antoine Trouvé, graduated in Cello at the Conservatory of Gennevilliers in the class of Emmanuelle Bertrand, studied with great Cello Masters and is artistic director of the association Les Corde du Mont César. He attended the Masterclass of Cello Masterclass held by Silvia Chiesa at the Accademia Stefano Strata.  Antonella Bellettini has an important career as a pianist and as a teacher of piano accompaniment in the Conservatories of Music. As usual and camerist she has performed in theatres and halls around the world. Among his many collaborations are those with the Orchestra Nazionale della Rai, the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome and the Chamber Opera in Geneva, the Maggio Musicale and the Accademia Chigiana in Siena.

Marco Borghini, Stefano Strata Music Academy Director: "The MusicaVerde concerts represent an important moment for us because our students can show the work of an intense year of study. The musicians who will perform are the winners of the Masterclass scholarships that we hold at the Academy. Every year we choose the best student of each Masterclass who, in the following season, can perform in concert at the Teatro Verdi".

Milli Russo, musicologist and president of Accademia di Musica Stefano Strata: "With the concerts of MusicaVerde we intend to make music even more enjoyable and create a young audience. In this direction goes the concert of March 6, a real novelty of the third edition of MusicaVerde because it will be dedicated to middle school, and to play will be the very young of our Academy. It will be a concert made by teenagers for teenagers who today, for many reasons, have fewer and fewer opportunities to listen to live music".

Michele Galli, General Director of Fondazione Teatro di Pisa: "The project of the MusicaVerde Concerts was born in 2022 and its success was immediate. The Theatre strongly believes in this initiative that since then we present in the ministerial question and that contributes to raising the qualitative score of our demand and therefore the value and reputation of our Theatre".

Lorenzo Corti, musician and councillor Accademia di Musica Stefano Strata: "The Strata Academy is a treasure for the territory of Pisa and not only, in the absence of a real Conservatory of Music instead present in nearby Lucca and Livorno. The value of this treasure is demonstrated by the teachers chosen by the direction of the Academy, by the students who come here from all over Italy to perfect themselves and by the bright results obtained by many of them".
