The passing of the war in Pisa: night-time film tour in the mountains ahead of 25 April.

A journey through the Pisa crossed by the Second World War and divided in two: the Allies to the south of the Arno and the Nazi-Fascist forces to the north. On Wednesday 24 April, on the anniversary of the Liberation of Italy, a special edition of the Mura di Pisa Night experience, in collaboration with Acquario della Memoria, will be held on the high walkway. A night-time film tour in which participants will be equipped with silent headphones and watch video projections and original audio content to relive those years both in the testimonies of those who were there and thanks to archive images and stories from private diaries. The enthusiasm of the beginnings, the bombing of 31 August 1943, the German occupation, the resistance of the Casarosa partisan brigade, the city divided in two by the Arno river front, the cathedral invaded by evacuees, the burning of the Camposanto Monumentale, the Nazi round-ups, up to 2 September 1944, the liberation of Pisa.

Departure at 9.00 p.m. at the Torre Piezometrica of the Polo Fibonacci, formerly Marzotto, with access from the cycle/pedestrian walkway outside the Walls, which can be reached from Via San Francesco or Via Vittorio Veneto, arriving at approximately 10.30 p.m. in Piazza dei Miracoli. The length of the walk is approximately 2 kilometres. Tickets are 10 euro (plus 1.50 euro pre-sale), free of charge for accompanying persons with disabilities, recommended for visitors aged 12 and over. People with disabilities, with prior notice, may be taken up and down via the Torre Piezometrica lift, as there is no lift at the Torre Santa Maria.
