The exhibition "Pisa at work" dedicated to the public works of the Municipality of Pisa, which was under construction or planned between 2008 and 2018, was opened on Wednesday, 10th January, at the inauguration of Mayor Marco Filippeschi. The exposure of the work of the Public Administration mandate is a custom that began in 2002 and continued in 2007 and 2013, which allows to provide widespread information on the transformation of the city, to present a report on the actions carried out and to verify their effectiveness. From cultural heritage to green areas, from roads to infrastructure, from school buildings to sports, passing from public lighting to hydraulic safety: the exhibition will describe one by one the more than 430 million investments implemented by the Municipality of Pisa. For this edition the exhibition will be set up under the Logge di Banchi, in the Sopralelogge exhibition space and in the atrium of Palazzo Gambacorti. "The exhibition represents the work done, the projects carried out and those in the pipeline, an opportunity for discussion to reflect on the future of the city, starting from what has been done," explains the mayor of Pisa, Marco Filippeschi.
The concept of the exhibition is that of the virtual journey that involves the visitor as if he were navigating with Google Earth on the maps. A large plan of Pisa mounted on the floor of the Logge will allow, walking over it, to locate the interventions identified with numbers and photos, the illustration of which will be supported by videos projected on large screens. In the exhibition space Sopralelogge will be set up panels that describe the works with drawings, photos and texts, while the hall of the City will host the redevelopment projects of residential areas through the exhibition of plastics and large images. The works, characterized by different handwriting and colors, will be divided into three categories: projects, works in progress and completed works. It will be open until January 28th
