Pisa Runs Again for Research.
On Sunday, May 17, the RUN FOR AIRC returns to the streets of Tuscany.
This non-competitive recreational running event, organized by the AIRC Foundation – Tuscany Committee in collaboration with the Pisa Road Runners Club A.S.D., under the auspices of the sports promotion organization UISP (Italian Union of Sports for All), and promoted together with the City of Pisa, the Opera della Primaziale Pisana, and the Army, thus confirms its strong roots in the local community with its second edition.
The start is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. from Piazza del Duomo. The finish is also in Piazza del Duomo.
A non-competitive run/walk featuring two route options—a 10-km and a 5-km course—both starting and finishing at Piazza del Duomo and winding through the city of Pisa, with the aim of raising public awareness about the importance of adopting healthy lifestyles and raising funds for cancer research. The event is designed to be a day dedicated to non-competitive sports, solidarity, and the celebration of cultural heritage. Throughout the day on Sunday, May 17, anyone wearing the RunforAIRC T-shirt—created with the support of event partner Maria Luca Giusti Synthetic Crystal—will receive free admission to various historic sites in the city.
