On Friday 25 April 2025 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation, the Municipality of Pisa, in collaboration with the Prefecture and the Province of Pisa and the Region of Tuscany, have set up a programme of events.

Below is the programme.

 9:00 a.m. at Piazza Caduti di Cefalonia e Corfù - wreath-laying at the monument of the Acqui Division.

9:45 a.m. at Piazza Santa Caterina/Church of St. Catherine of Alexandria - Holy Mass and prayer at the Chapel of the Fallen, wreath laying at the Chapel of the Fallen.

11:15 a.m. at Piazza XX Settembre/Logge di Palazzo Gambacorti - laying of laurel wreath at the War Memorial.

11:30 a.m. at Piazza XX Settembre - institutional ceremony and celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Liberation.

Speakers will include Maria Luisa D'Alessandro (Prefect of Pisa), Michele Conti (Mayor of Pisa), Antonio Mazzeo (President of the Regional Council of Tuscany), Massimiliano Angori (President of the Province) and Bruno Possenti (President of A.N.P.I).
