"The Magic of the Place” is the first completely virtual and endorphin-filled exhibition by the AORTA gallery, which explores the influence of art on the psychophysiological state of human beings.
Open from October 21 to November 26, every day from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Visitors enter an apparently empty space and, wearing a VR headset, find themselves immersed in works inspired by real places in Pisa and its surroundings. Each virtual landscape is not only a visual object but also an emotional and neural environment capable of stimulating an endorphin response, reducing stress, and restoring inner balance.
Visitors become participants in a process of self-exploration: thanks to special sensors, bodily parameters such as heart rate, blood pressure, and stress levels are monitored. This data allows us to observe in real time how art affects the body and consciousness.
One of the central elements of the exhibition is endorphin meditation—an immersion in one of the virtual works, where the person resonates with the artistic space on a sensory and emotional level.
A distinctive feature of the project is the possibility to create within the exhibition itself: visitors can draw in the XR space, interacting with the architecture and energy of the city, transforming contemplation into an act of co-creation.
