On Monday 2 June 2025, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., the exhibition "Real Human Bodies - An exhibition of Real Human Bodies" will be held at the Hotel Galilei (Via Darsena 1).
In this anatomical exhibition a wide collection of anatomical pieces is presented, scientifically valuable and prepared for educational purposes. The collection consists of preserved real human bodies, skeletons, arts, organs and organ sections that convey unique medical knowledge and impressions to interested visitors.
Bodies, body parts and organs come from donors and have been permanently preserved by the so-called plastination technique.
Special attention is given to the theme of cancer and tumours: different types of tumours and tumour samples are exposed and illustrated. The exhibition offers detailed explanations, multimedia presentations and educational panels on general and specific subjects related to the human body. The main themes include the skeletal and motor system, the brain and nervous system, sex organs, heart and blood vessels, kidneys and urinary tract, digestive system, senses, respiratory tract and lungs.
