The project ‘Itinerari Artistici d'Italia’ (IAI), curated by Massimiliano Sbrana, is an exhibition initiative aimed at promoting the regional identities of Italian contemporary art through a series of exhibitions dedicated to the different cultural areas of the country. Each stage is configured as a visual and narrative journey, capable of restoring the expressive richness of the territories and their protagonists.
The ‘Piedmont’ exhibition, which will open on Saturday 25 October 2025 at 5 p.m. at the GAMeC CentroArteModerna in Pisa (Lungarno Mediceo 26), is one of the most significant stages of the project. On this occasion, the works of four important exponents of contemporary Piedmontese art will be on display: Mauro Martin, Pietro Medico, Franco Merlo and Gianmario Quagliotto.
Each artist brings with them a personal and deeply rooted vision that reflects the tensions, atmospheres and cultural and artistic transformations of the region: from landscape suggestions to inner reflections, from pictorial material to symbolic research. The exhibition is not only an exhibition but also a choral narrative of a region that has been able to combine tradition and innovation, silence and intensity.
Admission to the exhibition is free.
The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6.30 p.m.; it will also be open on Sunday 26 October from 4 p.m. to 6.30 p.m. Closed on Mondays.
