On July 29, 2025 at the GAMeC CentroArteModerna of Pisa (Lungarno Mediceo, 26) opens to the public the "International Festival of the Small Format", which like a secret garden of visions, an intimate oasis, art breathes silence, enclosed in the meditated boundaries of a minimum space.
Here, the 70 works - born from the passionate gesture of over 40 creative souls - are gathered under the ideal sky of 50x50 cm, bringing with them the scent of the distant places from which they come. Every creation is a suspended leaf, a whisper that crosses seas and lands to rest gently on walls that do not impose, but welcome.
Painting, drawing, collage, sculptures and three-dimensional visions alternate like voices in a silent polyphony. Each technique, free from thematic constraints, tells its own inner world, leaving room for the encounter between differences and the wonder of the unexpected. It is a soft song that finds strength in the absence of clamor and beauty in measured choice.
The small format then reveals itself as a sacred and conscious border, where nothing is superfluous. Every stroke is pure intention, every void becomes breath, every detail turns into a universe to contemplate. Walking among these works is like reading a book of visual poems, where the pages open to the touch of the eye, and the thought becomes a delicate form.
In a world often overloaded with stimuli, this exhibition, conceived and created by Massimiliano Sbrana and promoted by the collection "Art Archive" of CentroArteModerna of Pisa, offers a space for slowing down and listening. Here, art does not shout but invites; it does not attack but embraces. It is a global dialogue, a meeting of cultures and sensibilities that does not need noise to be heard: just stop, observe, let yourself be touched.
