It opens to the public Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 17:30 curated by Massimiliano Sbrana at the GAMeC-centroartemoderna di Pisa (Lungarno Mediceo, 26) the exhibition "Dalla Macchia al Contemporaneo” dedicated to the theme of "The Landscape".
The exhibition "Dalla Macchia al Contemporaneo" aims to explore the theme of "The Landscape" through the works of Italian and foreign artists who have been able to interpret nature in different and original ways. The exhibition presents a selection of paintings, sculptures, ranging from the 1930s to the present day, highlighting the transformations of the landscape and the environmental challenges of our time.
The exhibition offers the public the opportunity to admire masterpieces by established masters, but also to discover emerging artists who confront the theme of the landscape in an innovative and creative way, enhancing once again the role of Tuscany as a place of culture and art.
In this 2024 edition there are works by many artists from all over Italy (and beyond) shown here: Sofia Astarita, Bruno Beccaro, Giuseppe Biondi, Gino Bonfanti, Elisa Butturini, Giancarlo Carmignani, Daniela Carta, Mimmo Corrado, Rolando Crociani, Antonella Favilli, Simone Gendille, Alberto Martini, H.W. Marius Bauer, Mario Meucci, Guido Morelli, Maria Teresa Pannunzio, Bruna Pidello Caser, Rosa Maria Protopapa, Giulio Sbrana, Mario Schifano, Piero Semeraro, Aspreno Simonelli, Mario Tamburini, Piet Van Leuven.
