Villa di Maio

The splendid Villa Di Maio in Pisa, located in Piazza San Paolo a Ripa d’Arno and built in the early twentieth century by Saint-Gobain, will open its doors to the public for the first in a series of artistic events promoted by the heirs of the property, who wish in this way to pay tribute to the city of Pisa.

A unique venue with a magnificent garden, the villa will offer both residents and visitors the opportunity to discover and appreciate a remarkable and previously little-known part of the city. The heirs have entrusted the cultural programme to several institutions, including the Knights of Malta, the Fondazione Teatro di Pisa, the Fondazione Arpa, and other associations that are progressively joining the initiative in order to fill this exceptional gathering place—situated in one of Pisa’s most beautiful squares—with cultural activities and events.

As its inaugural event, Villa Di Maio is pleased to present C’OSA OSA, a collective exhibition featuring internationally renowned artists: Giuseppe Agamennone, Nicola Boccini, Ricky Boscarino, Sara Cancellieri, Marino Ficola, Ilaria Pennoni, Nicola Renzi, David Roberts, Małgorzata Turło.

The exhibition will showcase works that, through the use of ceramics, explore and define the characteristics of the image at the heart of C’OSA OSA.

The exhibition will remain open to visitors until 5 July, with opening hours from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m..
