The original plates created for some of the most famous works of Manuele Fior, illustrator today among the most appreciated on the international scene, are the heart of the exhibition 'Manuele Fior. Viaggio a colori', curated by Giorgio Bacci, hosted at Palazzo Blu.
Manuele Fior (Cesena, April 25, 1975), with a fine graphic sensitivity and a power of color that make it immediately recognizable, works for important Italian and international publishers, and his illustrations appear in Italian and foreign periodicals and newspapers.
He has won numerous awards and recognitions, including the highly coveted Attilio Micheluzzi at the Napoli Comicon in 2007, 2010 and 2023, Fauve d'Or at the Angoulême International Festival in 2010 and Gran Guinigi per Autore unico at Lucca Comics in 2010.
Before being author of comics and illustrations full-time, Fior graduated in architecture at the University Iuav in Venice, worked for some time as an architect and has traveled far and wide Europe (Oslo, Berlin, Paris), before returning to Venice, where he currently resides.
The dimension of the journey, together with that of an elusive melancholy nostalgia, is constitutive of the works of the author who lived fully the boom of the "Erasmus generation" of the nineties of the last century. The one painted by Fior is a complex and articulated galaxy, rich in musical, pictorial and artistic references that rhythmically articulate the stories, suggesting times of vision and reading.
The visitor will have the opportunity to lead in the halls of Palazzo Blu an amazing "color journey" for places, cities, real and dreamy spaces, according to a circular path that, starting from Celestia, will arrive at Hypericon after The interview and Five thousand kilometers per second.
